SEARCY – Harding University sophomore Daniel Kirwa won his third consecutive cross country race and led the Bisons to a first-place finish at the Ted Lloyd Bison Stampede. Kirwa finished with the 8k race in 26:24.17.
Wojciech Kopec was the second Harding runner to cross the finish line with a time of 26:53.88. Kopec place fourth. Manase Busienei placed eighth in the race with a time of 27:22.17. Justin Kutter placed 14th, Nathan Puckett placed 16th and Ryan Johnson rounded out the Bisons scoring, placing 17th.
Christian Brothers placed second in the competition with 61 points and University of Memphis placed third with 72 points.
Former HU runner James Cheruiyot tied Kirwa for first place.
