SEARCY – The Harding women's cross country team had five runners in the top seven positions to win the Ted Lloyd Bison Stampede on Saturday. Esther Kosgei placed second as she lead the Lady Bisons with a time of 19:28.21 in the 5K race.
Gladys Kimtai placed third with a time of 19:32.26. Rysper Sirma placed fifth with a time of 19:54.06. Naomi Landecker placed sixth and Mary Samoei placed seventh for the Lady Bisons.
The individual winner was Bailee Miller from Arkansas Tech who crossed the finish line with a time of 19:26.20. Arkansas Tech placed second in the meet with 51 points. University of Memphis placed third with 66 points.
The Lady Bisons will be back in action at the Gulf South Conference meet in Birmingham, Ala., on Oct. 24th.
