HU's Guymon Sweeps GSC Cross Country Coach of the Year Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the second consecutive year, Harding's Steve Guymon was selected Gulf South Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year.
Guymon earned each honor thanks to a majority vote of his fellow GSC coaches. Harding's men's and women's teams defended their respected conference titles at last Saturday's GSC Cross Country Championships in Hoover, Ala.
Guymon collected his second straight men's accolade, tying him for the most career Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year awards (seven). On the women's side, he claimed his conference-leading sixth overall honor and fifth consecutive.
Next up for Guymon and the Harding teams is next weekend's NCAA South Regional Meet, which will be hosted by the University of Tampa and held at Sydney Dover Trails in Dover, Fla.
