SEARCY - Harding University senior forward Connor Galloway was named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District 6 College Division Men's Soccer Team on Thursday by a vote of the district's sports information directors.
Galloway, a native of Normal, Ill., has started all 17 games for the Bisons this season and leads the team with seven goals and 17 points. He is second on the team with three assists. Galloway is tied for second in the Gulf South Conference in goals, ranks eighth in assists and fifth in points (17).
Galloway is a Biochemistry & Molecular Biology major with a 3.60 grade point average.
He is only the third Harding men's soccer player to earn Academic All-District honors, joining Marcus Wagner (2000) and Jeff Ireland (2001).
The District 6 College Division is made up of NCAA II, NCAA III, NAIA and NJCAA schools in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
Galloway will now move on to the Academic All-America ballot. The ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America College Division Men's Soccer Team will be released Wednesday, Nov. 18.
