Nesheva, Tate Receive Player of the Week Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Senior outside hitter Manuela Nesheva and Junior defensive specialist Emily Tate received GSC West Division Player of the Week honors in a release by the conference office Tuesday. It is the third time this season Nesheva has received the award and the second time for Tate.
This is the second straight week Nesheva has received the award and the 11th time in her career. Nesheva has led Harding offensive this season. Last week she had 53 kills in nine sets, averaging 5.89 kills per set for the Lady Bisons. Nesheva had over 25 kills in the two matches, and hit .377.
Tate continues to led the Harding defense this season as she had 50 digs for an average of 5.56 digs per set last week. Tate had over 20 digs in both matches, including a 26-dig performance in a 3-1 win over Henderson State that clinched the West Division championship.
Harding is hosting the GSC tournament this weekend, Nov. 13 and 14th. They will take on Valdosta State Friday in the opening round at 7:30 p.m.
