JONESBORO, Ark. – Harding University junior Blake Arnold set a Harding indoor record Saturday at the Arkansas State Kick-Off Klassic, running the 200 meters in 22.39 seconds to finish in fourth place. He broke the record of 22.41 set by Kreg Kell in 2008.
Arnold’s finish was one of five top-10 finishes by Harding athletes. Sophomore Milton Stewart was ninth in the 200 meters in 22.62, senior Logan Wheeler was 10th in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.19, sophomore Logan Callier was eighth in the high jump with a mark of 6 feet, 2.75 inches, and freshman Josh Winslager was seventh in the pole vault with a mark of 14 feet.
Harding’s indoor track team next competes on Jan. 30 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
