Lady Bison Golf Places Second at Natural State Golf Classic

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Harding women’s golf team took to the links this past week as they hosted the Natural State Golf Classic in Heber Springs, Ark., at the Red Apple Inn Country Club. The Lady Bisons placed second out of eight teams shooting a 328 and a 336 in the two-round classic.
Henderson State shot a 323 in the first round and a 330 in the second round to take home first place in the classic. Stephanie Mingos from Rhodes and Julie Robinson from Henderson State tied for first place sending the two golfers to a playoff. Mingos took the first hole in the playoff to be crowned the individual winner.
Three Lady Bisons placed in the top 10. Sophomore Ragan Muncy was the top finisher for Harding placing fourth. Muncy shot an 81 each day for a 162 stroke total. Senior Brandi Watkins tied for fifth shooting an 83 and an 82 for the Lady Bisons and Senior Natalie Gay tied for seventh shooting an 80 and an 87.
The Lady Bisons next tournament is in Hot Springs, Ark., April 19 and 20th for the Gulf South Conference Championship.
