BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the first time in Harding women’s golf history Brandi Watkins and Natalie Gay were named to the All-Gulf South Conference Team Wednesday in a release by the conference office. Watkins was named to the first team and Gay was named to the second team.
Senior Brandi Watkins, a native of Canon City, Colo., led the Lady Bisons averaging 84.3 strokes a round. Watkins set the All-Time Low Score in a round this past fall shooting a 76 in the second round of the Bison Fall Golf Classic. In the same tournament, Watkins set the All-Time Two Round low shooting a 155 in the two round tournament.
Senior Natalie Gay, a native of Heber Springs, Ark., wasn’t far behind Watkins averaging 85.8 strokes a round on the season for the Lady Bisons.
Watkins and Gay both placed in the top five in three different tournaments this season.
The Lady Bisons just completed their fourth season of program this spring.
