POTTSBORO, Texas - The Harding women's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule with an 11th-place finish Monday and Tuesday at the Lion Invitational. The 36-hole tournament was played at Tanglewood Golf Resort and Spa, a par-72, 5,986-yard course.
Harding shot 350 in round one and 355 in round two for a 705 total. Angelo State won the team competition with a 631, 17 strokes better than second-place Incarnate Word.
Freshman
Whitney Ohlhausen was Harding's top finisher, placing 16th. She shot 83 in both rounds to finish at 166. Joanna De Sa Peirera of Incarnate Word was the individual medalist, shooting 6-over, 150, to win by two strokes over Kylee Johnson of Cameron.
Other Harding golfers included
Ragan Muncy, who tied for 39th at 173. So-yun Kim was tied for 54th at 178,
Evelyn Poteet was 80th at 190, and
Tara Fuchs was tied for 81st at 191.
