POTTSBORO, Texas – The Harding men’s golf team shot 10 strokes better in its second round and placed sixth of 13 teams in the Crawford-Wade Invitational, hosted Monday and Tuesday at the Tanglewood Golf Club. The tournament was hosted by Texas A&M-Commerce.

Harding shot 322 in the first round and lowered that to 312 in the second round to finish at 634. East Central won the team competition at 619, five strokes better than second-place St. Mary’s of Texas.

Sophomore Bruce McMullen was Harding’s top golfer. The Capetown, South Africa native shot 82 in round one and improved with a 75 in round two to finish at 157, tied for 15th.

Travis Keeley of East Central won the individual competition with a 5-over, 149.

Harding freshman Lewis Jackson tied for 20th (158), Brandon Cauldwell tied for 26th (159), Blake Chase tied for 31st (160), and Ryan Hadash finished 58th (170). Sophomore Dustin Richter played as an individual and tied for 20th at 158.
