Three More: Lady Bison Tennis Extends Streak to 13 Straight

Chelsea Hunt has a team-high 12 singles victories.
SEARCY - The Harding women's tennis team won three matches in the last two days to extend their current winning streak to 13 matches. It is the longest winning streak since winning 16 straight in 2008.

Harding improved to 19-2 overall. On Tuesday, the Lady Bisons earned a 9-0 forfeit victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Lady Lions came to Searcy with only two players and had to forfeit the match.

On Wednesday, Harding traveled to Memphis, Tenn., and picked up an 8-1 victory over Christian Brothers in a Gulf South Conference match and an 8-1 victory over LeMoyne-Owen.

Harding is now 10-0 in South Region play, 3-0 in the GSC, 6-0 at home and 11-0 in road matches.

Freshman Chelsea Hunt has Harding's best overall singles record at 12-1. Sophomore Gina Cielo is next at 10-1, and freshman Ellie Hammons is 9-2.
