HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - The Harding women's golf team is in second place, only eight strokes behind leader West Florida, following the first round of the Gulf South Conference Championship at the Hot Springs Country Club.
Harding's opening round 319 was its third-best round of the season. West Florida shot 311. Just behind Harding is West Georgia at 320.

Whitney Ohlhausen is in third place after shooting a 75. Teammate and fellow freshman
So-Yun Kim is fifth at 76.
Ragan Muncy and
Evelyn Poteet both shot 84 and are tied for 15th.
Natalia Espinosa of West Florida leads after shooting even-par 72 in round one.
