SEARCY – Harding women's tennis won for the sixth time in its last seven matches Tuesday with a 7-2 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff at the Harding Tennis Courts.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff had only five players and forfeited at both No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Harding won one of the two remaining doubles matches and led 3-1 after doubles. The Lady Bisons' No. 1 doubles team of Ali Rowden and Benyapa Phumtip won 8-2, improved to 5-1 this season, and extended their winning streak to three straight matches.
Harding also won four of the remaining five singles matches. Rowden won in three sets at No. 1, moving to 7-2 in singles play this season. Phumtip won at No. 2 and improved to 6-3.
Katie Huff moved to 7-4 this season with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 4, and Kaleigh Wagner is also 7-4 after winning 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5.
Harding is now 8-4 on the season and plays again Thursday at 2 p.m. against Ouachita Baptist in a Great American Conference match.
