SEARCY – Harding sophomore Kittibodee Singnil earned 1st Team All-Great American Conference honors Friday as the conference announced its postseason men's tennis honors.
Singnil, a native of Samutsakorn, Thailand, compiled an 8-4 singles record this season, including a 7-4 mark at No. 1 singles. He was also 7-5 in doubles play. The honor was Singnil's second straight All-GAC award. He was also the conference's Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year in 2012. Singnil is ranked 13th in the NCAA Division II Central Region as a singles player.
Harding's No. 2 singles player, Jon Mark Rowden, did not receive All-GAC honors despite posting a 7-5 singles record and earning head-to-head victories over two players on the All-GAC team. Rowden defeated Marc Fillat of East Central 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 in Searcy on Apr. 12 and Filip Palovic of Southeastern Oklahoma 6-4, 7-6 in Durant, Okla., on Apr. 19. Both Fillat and Palovic are on the All-GAC Team.
Rowden, who hails from Greenbrier, Ark., and Singnil formed the No. 2-ranked doubles team in the Central Region.
The conference's four head coaches vote for the All-GAC Team and are not allowed to vote for members of their own teams.
