SEARCY – Harding senior fullback Romo Westbrook and senior offensive guard Mike Thompson were named 2nd Team Preseason All-America on Tuesday by Beyond Sports Network.

Westbrook, a native of Marion, Arkansas, led the Great American Conference with 1,123 rushing yards last season and scored 12 rushing touchdowns. He enters the 2014 season ranked sixth in career rushing at Harding with 1,939 yards and is second with 19 rushing touchdowns.

Thompson, a native of Machesney Park, Illinois, has started 22 straight games on Harding's offensive line, including all 11 last season at left guard. He was on the field for 34 offensive touchdowns and twice graded out as Harding's top offensive lineman.

Other GAC players included on the BSN All-America teams included Kevin Rodgers (QB, Henderson St.), Darius Davis (WR, Henderson St.), Aaron Sprinkle (OG, Ouachita Baptist), and Jamie McGee (K, Ark.-Monticello).
