SEARCY – Harding University junior right-handed pitcher Collin Campbell has been named NCAA Division II Central Region Pre-Season All-American by Collegiate Baseball Magazine.

Campbell, a native of McCrory, Arkansas, went 9-2 last season with a 2.43 ERA. He struck out 52 and walked only 13 in 70 1/3 innings. Campbell earned second-team all-Central Region honors and second-team all-Great American Conference.

Campbell was the only GAC player listed among the magazine's All-America honorees.

Collegiate Baseball also recognized Harding junior third baseman Noah Chandler (.320, 29 RBI in 2014) among its Central Region Players to Watch and redshirt freshman infielder Zach Beasley on its Newcomers to Watch list.

Harding's 2015 season begins on Feb. 1 when the Bisons host Augustana (S.D.) for the first two games of a three-game series.
