The 2009-10 season will be the fifth as head coach for Harding's Tim Kirby. He has led the Lady Bisons to Gulf South Conference Tournament berths in three of his first four seasons.

In his four seasons as head coach, Kirby has compiled a 69-45 overall record and a 25-33 GSC record. In the 2008-09 season, Kirby's squad opened with a 12-game winning streak, the second-longest in program history, and recorded its first 20-win season since 1996-97. The Lady Bisons were an undefeated 14-0 in non-conference games.

Prior to taking the women's basketball head coaching job, Kirby spent 12 seasons as the Harding men's basketball assistant coach under present head coach Jeff Morgan. Harding won more than 20 games in three of those seasons, including a 21-9 record during the 2002-03 season. The duo led the Bisons to nine postseason appearances and four berths in the GSC Tournament.

Kirby came to Harding after serving as the head coach at Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Okla., from 1990-93. He was the assistant at Carl Albert from 1988-90.

Kirby earned his bachelor's in physical education from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in 1986 and his master's degree in education from East Central University in 1990.

A native of Lawton, Okla., Kirby and his wife Kathryn have two sons, Zach and Mitchell.
